On behalf of the team at Coastal Group and blu™ we would like to thank you for your custom throughout 2017. We appreciate your business and look forward to helping you make 2018 a very successful year.
We’re here to help add value to your external doors and windows.
As awareness of the need to comply with Part Q increases, and a Building Control Officer demands a joinery firm to pull out their newly fitted windows, Coastal is helping many joinery firms achieve Part Q Certification.
If you supply external doors and windows to new build, renovation or refurbishment projects which require planning permission then you need to comply with Part Q.
Part Q are new Building Regulations which were brought into force on 1st October 2015. It affects any doors and windows on the ground floor and any accessible doors and windows on the first floor or on any balconies or windows which are accessible from flat or gently sloping roofs up to 3.5m above ground level.
“Achieving Part Q Certification for your doors and windows can be very expensive and time consuming, but not when you use Coastal's Part Q Scheme.
Our ground-breaking Part Q compliance system enables you to use our own generic Part Q certified products to manufacture officially UKAS tested and certified doors and windows in line with PAS24 without you having to pay to have your own doors and windows tested.” says Coastal MD Loren Jenner
Loren adds “We've created a short video to show how we can help you easily achieve Part Q Certification. View the video below then click on the link underneath it to visit the section on our website detailing the Four Easy Stages to Certification.”
The benefits of our Part Q scheme to joinery firms is achieving widespread recognition as Iain McIlwee of the British Woodworking Federation comments:
“The team at Coastal Group are to be applauded for taking such a proactive approach to helping our small and medium sized joinery companies meet their Part Q responsibilities. Part Q created a unique challenge for the timber door and window manufacturing sector, but through prescriptive methods of compliance that the BWF has developed and companies such as Coastal rallying to provide cascadable test evidence, it has not been as disruptive as it could have been.”
At Coastal, we understand just how important our customers are to our business.
