Coastal Invests in New Multisite Warehouse Management System from Oracle Netsuite.
We’re continuing our investment into improving our service offering to you. As part of this investment we’ve integrated Oracle’s NetSuite Warehouse Management System (WMS) throughout our multisite storage and distribution facilities.
NetSuite’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) has helped us optimise our day-to-day warehouse operations using industry leading best practices - including intelligent pick and pack processes, handheld barcode scanning, cycle counting and integration with shipping system.
WMS has enabled us to:
- Go paperless as part of our pick and pack process
- Increase productivity to speed up picking and processing of your orders
- Improve accuracy in picking of your orders
Our warehouse operatives now use wireless handheld barcode scanner devices which quickly and accurately direct them to bin locations of the hardware items required to pick for your order. The operatives can also use the devices to check alternate stock location and inventory levels on the fly to ensure your order pick process keeps moving as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Warehouse routes and bin location are optimised and defined as part of the setup of the WMS to maximise efficiencies.
Integration with our Advanced Manufacturing functionality means the operatives can quickly and easily move inventory to and from production and between site locations if necessary.
Our investment into this new Warehouse Management System offers additional functionality to streamline our warehouse operations. It is helping to improve our sustainability, to futureproof and provide a fast, efficient and accurate service to you, our clients.
So whether you are a small, medium or multi-national door and window manufacturer, we at Coastal can provide you with the service level required to meet the needs of your business.
