Coastal Group, manufacturer and supplier of premium door and window hardware, has announced a new partnership with FritsJurgens, the Dutch engineer of concealed pivot hinge systems. The partnership adds pivot door hardware to Coastal Group's range for the first time, giving trade customers access to a system that can support light to heavy doors of nearly any material, with a width of 4 meters and unlimited height.
FritsJurgens pivot systems are fitted entirely within the door itself; only a minimal floor plate remains visible. There are no visible floor springs, overhead closers or hinge plates, and no structural work required in the floor or ceiling. Their systems are compatible with underfloor heating and can be specified for new-build or retrofit projects.
· System One is a compact pivot system allowing smooth, free-swing movement without self-closing functionality.
· System Fx is a free-swing pivot system with hold open positions at every 90 degree, without self-closing functionality.
· System M+ is a self-closing pivot system that offers full control over door movement.
All systems support doors weighing up to 500kg (depending on door width), and can be specified for doors made from timber, steel, aluminium and glass. This range of weight and material capability means pivot doors can be designed as a genuine architectural feature rather than being limited by what a hinge can carry, providing maximum design freedom and enabling any creative vision to come to life.
Coastal Group will offer the full FritsJurgens range, technical documentation and a configurator to help specifiers select the right system for their project, backed by the technical support team already in place for the rest of the Coastal Group range.
