Frequently Asked Questions

BS3621 is a British Standard that applies to dead locks, night latches and sash locks. It is normally the minimum requirement for insurance purposes and does not apply to multipoint locks.

Coastal's range of Multipoint Door Locks exceed these minimum requirements as they are tested to PAS24 security performance requirements and are 'Secured by Design' Approved.

For the ultimate security we recommend fitting these multipoint door locks with our KABA 3 Star High Security Rated Euro Profile Cylinder. These are Kitemarked Approved TS007 3 Star Cylinders achieving Class 6 Security Standard EN 1303 and BS 3621. You can download the KABA 3 Star Security Cylinder Certificate from this link.
